He grew up in poverty as an orphan, was briefly raised amid wealth/privilege as a ward of the Yunmeng Jiang Clan, and later lived in scarcity as the Yiling Patriarch. Because of these shifts, he developed a casual, almost irreverent relationship with wealth: generous when he has it, unbothered when he doesn’t, and skeptical of the aristocratic status it represents. He values ingenuity and freedom over material security, thrives in scarcity through creativity, and places far more importance on loyalty and human connection than on riches or prestige.

WHAT WOULD/DID YOUR CHARACTER MAJOR IN?: Biomedical engineering. :)

His necromancy, combined with his creativity and knack for inventing talismans, tools, and weapons would have him thriving in a field where he can interface with the human body in unconventional ways: repairing, augmenting, designing prosthetics/synthetic organs and experimental surgical tools.

He lost his connection to traditional cultivation, and ended up creating an entirely new, forbidden path built on ingenuity, desperation, and sheer will — reshaping the rules of his world, and carving out a way to protect the vulnerable when no orthodox path would allow it.
